Sombody asked me if I think they have Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. I don’t know a lot about it, but from what I know, it sounds like she has it.
Apparently, the first time she did drugs, she had a really bad trip. It’s been 3 months and she feels extream anxiety she feels is related to it. Could this be PTSD?

It could be. If the ‘trip’ was a traumatic one, it would not be unusual to have ‘flashbacks’ from the drug.
She needs to put life back into perspective. Going into the hinterlands of the brain and discovering different paradigms of life, death, thought processes and hallucination usually is very traumatic to someone who has not thought about them on their own.
She’s not alone. Many have done the same when gazing through the ‘looking glass’ into a dark, macabre world. It’s also not unusual to feel depression or anxiety from the event.
The good news is it’s treatable. Drug companies sell anti depressants and the like to combat the feelings depression and anxiety. I don’t recommend drugs for a drug experience. A good psychotherapist who specializes in anxiety can help ground your friend. There are even books and websites dedicated to the study of getting one’s life back The secret is usually daily affirmation and an understanding that what she went through is normal.
It takes time. More than a week and more than a month, at times. Tenacity and stick-to-it-ness will have your friend be the victor. Doing it without drugs makes the mind not run for the ‘bottle’ when life throws another curve-ball your direction.
Tell your friend there is nothing to worry about and start researching the positive effects of daily affirmations and good friends or good counsel.
Good luck

sure it could be.
